Weekend
This weekend pretty much sucked! For of all I was sick most of the weekend. It's one of those things where you aren't sick enough to get real meds from the doc, but sick enough where it pretty much ruins your weekend. It wasn't the only thing that ruined my weekend.

GOOD

  • Michigan lost to Notre Dame
  • Texas beat Florida International
  • Dallas beat San Diego
  • Tony Stewart makes the Chase for the Nextel Cup and is leading the points by 5 points--not much at this point, but I would rather be up by 5 then down by 40.
BAD
Ohio State lost to Texas (You have to know that I would rather root from anyone other than Texas except when they played Michigan in the Rose Bowl last year.)

UGLY
Jeff Gordon DID NOT--I REPEAT--DID NOT MAKE THE CHASE. This will the first time he will not be in the top ten since his rookie year. I am really disgusted with his crew right now. In the last two races Jeff has qualified good, but when his car goes south during the race his crew can't get it dialed in. Gordon and his crew needed their "A-game" on Saturday, but I don't even think they brought their "B-game" either. It was heartbreaking to watch Jeff hit the wall. I know there are those who are glad he is not in the chase (and you know who you are), but he will be back next year. He will be on that stage in December--as the 11th place winner. There are 10 races and he will be there. Good Luck Jeff!!!!

Here are the 10 drivers who will make a run at the Nextel Cup this year.
1. Tony Stewart
2. Greg Biffle
3. Jimmie Johnson
4. Rusty Wallace
5. Mark Martin
6. Kurt Busch
7. Jeremy Mayfield
8. Carl Edwards
9. Matt Kenseth
10. Ryan Newman

MY PICK--A NO BRAINER--TONY STEWART
